Shang Han Lun- Tai Yang Bing Series
Tai Yang Syndrome -- Modern Clinical Applications
This course is on the classics of classics for TCM practitioners: Shang Han Lun, with an in depth look at Tai Yang syndromes. The first and most important formula Gui Zhi Tang along with the 20 formulas developed from Gui Zhi Tang will be analyzed in an integrative model to illustrate the clinical efficacy in balancing the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system.
In this course series you will have an in depth look at Tai Yang Syndrome and treat illnesses such as cold induced disease, allergies, common cold, urinary incontinence, headache from cold invasion, mental/ psychological conditions such as insomnia and mood swings. This is a case study and formula forward course series.
Class 1: Introduction to Tai Yang Bing, what is the Gui Zhi type constitution, unconventional uses for Gui Zhi Tang, how to approach balancing the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system, and prescribing formulas for pathologies that cause nerve irritation.
Class 2: Tai Yang Bing syndrome and how to treat lung conditions, boosting adrenal functions, regulating vascular conditions, hypotension/hypertension, lymph function, stys and hemorrhoids.
Class 3: Tai Yang Bing syndromes and how to treat illnesses of the peripheral vascular system, feng-shui facial conditions, fluid retention post-surgery, long term viral conditions such as Epstein-Barr, herpes, long-Covid and brain fog.
Class 4: Tai Yang Bing syndromes and how to treat illnesses of cold induced disease such as allergies, common cold, urinary incontinence, headache, mental and psychological conditions like insomnia and mood swings.
